Fort Wingate is about 12 miles east of Gallup, New Mexico. We drove through Fort Wingate where we found the church building. Elder and Sister Rogers (our district leaders) met us there. Our trailer is located behind the church building. It is an old trailer but the church have worked hard to update, paint and make it a nice place for us to live. The refrigerator died the first night and within a few hours of us reporting the problem we had a brand new refrigerator.
We have what the natives call the "monsoons" during the summer months. After our first downpour, our roof leaked. The next day the church had it repaired. They really try hard to take care of us.
From our front porch we have beautiful views of the red hills off of Route 66. We are looking forward to exploring our new home.
