Sarawak Museum in Kuching, Malaysia

Last week we went to museums on preparation day (Monday, day off from missionary labor). The lower area of the museum was animals of Sarawak. The hornbill is their nation bird. You will see its image all over. It has a large beak that extends from the forehead down. They have used that to carve detailed designs and objects from, similar to using ivory.

We went to about 3 museums that day.

The pie chart shows the population divided into the tribes and nationalities.

There is a coffin and other burial jars. The bed is a bridal bed. There is the main bed then a bed on the end for the lady in waiting to sleep so she is there when needed.
